Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your information.
Last updated June 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information ChecklistForge (“we”, “us”) collects when you use checklistforge.com (the “Service”), and how we use it. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you sign in (for example with Google or Apple), we receive your name, email address, profile photo and a username. You can also add an optional bio and links to your public profile.
- Content you create. The checklists, items, notes and templates you make, including anything you choose to publish publicly.
- Anonymous edit tokens. If you create a checklist without an account, we store a private edit token in your browser (local storage) so you can keep editing it from that device.
- Usage & device data. Standard log data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to operate and improve the Service.
How we use it
- To provide the Service — saving, rendering and exporting your checklists.
- To show your published checklists and creator profile to other users when you choose to make them public.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve features.
What's public
Checklists you mark as public, and the profile information you add (name, avatar, bio and links), are visible to anyone and may appear in the public library, on creator profiles, and in search engines. Drafts and trashed checklists are not public. You can switch a checklist back to draft or move it to trash at any time.
Cookies & local storage
We use cookies to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember anonymous checklists you've created. We may use analytics and advertising cookies to understand usage and support the free Service.
Third-party services
We rely on third parties to run the Service, including sign-in providers (Google, Apple) and advertising/analytics partners. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
Your choices
- Edit or delete any checklist you own; deleted checklists go to trash and can be permanently removed.
- Update or remove your profile details at any time from your profile settings.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
